ROLE OVERVIEW

Human Resources (HR) Associate is responsible for various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. They may handle tasks such as conducting interviews, onboarding new employees, managing personnel records, and addressing employee inquiries. Additionally, HR specialists play a key role in ensuring workplace policies and procedures align with regulations and company standards.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

●    Retrieves information as requested from records, email and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
●    Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.
●    Schedules interviews, meetings, HR events and maintains agendas.
●    Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
●    Maintains the recruitment platforms – LinkedIn, Indeed, Hey Korean and others.
●    Provides administrative clerical support to the HR team.
●    Assists with the creation of the organization’s monthly newsletter. 
●    Assists the HR team with matters relating to the organization and external providers and vendors.
●    Assists with new hire orientations, on-boarding processing and staff meetings. 
●    Assists with the planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and holiday parties.
●    Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

●    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
●    Proven experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within the beauty or cosmetics industry, with a strong emphasis on international compliance and product or brand registrations.
●    Strong knowledge of industry regulations and laws, both domestic and international.
●    Excellent communication and organizational skills.
●    Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
●    Proven experience in international trade compliance within the beauty industry or similar industry.
●    In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, custom procedures, and any legal classification in regions including Africa, South America, and Europe.
●    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
●    Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information systems and similar computer applications.
●    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
